New Medical and Dental Clinic at Marine Corps Air Station New River
Endeavor IO is underway on the Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) New River Medical and Dental Clinic Initial Outfitting project. Located at Camp Lejeune near Jacksonville, North Carolina, the 43,862-square-foot replacement clinic will meet the Marine Centered Medical Home (MCMH) standard, a model designed to maximize efficiency in clinic operations, improve access to medical care, and elevate the standard of care in the garrison setting.
The existing clinic is undersized to meet the increased demand for medical care. A majority of Active Duty personnel at MCAS New River currently receive primary health care from battalion and regimental providers in makeshift spaces located within non-healthcare facilities. These battalion and regimental aid stations often lack basic healthcare facility requirements such as sinks, proper ventilation, and exam rooms with doors. The lack of these features can result in increased infection risk and patient privacy concerns. These Active Duty forces do not have access to an appropriate environment of care. This project will enable the implementation of the MCMH concept to improve health outcomes, increase the readiness posture of the force, and enhance patient satisfaction.
Led by Senior Project Manager, Paul Benoit, the Endeavor IO Team will provide interior design, medical equipment planning, low voltage and resource protection, artwork and signage, transition and relocation, commodity procurement, delivery and installation of commodities, and biomedical equipment technician services.
Construction is in the early stages and planning for building completion in July 2022. At this time, our team will begin the installation of more than 3,000 pieces of furniture, equipment and other commodities to prepare the clinic for opening in the fall of 2022.
